FAQs

Questions always arise before you travel. We’ve put together a list of the most frequently asked questions, along with helpful answers.

Booking

When can I check in and out?

Your room will be ready for you from 3 p.m. onwards. Please vacate it by 11 a.m. on your day of departure. We’ll keep your reservation until at least 6 p.m. on your day of arrival. You can check in later if you arrange it with us beforehand.

How do I get an invoice for my stay?

You’ll receive an email and/or paper invoice for your stay when you leave. You can specify the invoice address or tell us you want a company invoice when you check in.

What are the terms of cancellation?

You can cancel free of charge up until 6 p.m. on the day of arrival. Please note that you have to give us your credit card details when you book. Once you pass the free cancellation time, you’ll have to pay in advance for the entire cost of the room. Once the free cancellation time has passed, we’ll charge your credit card with the full cost of the stay. If you cancel later or don’t show up, we’ll charge 80% of the total price of the stay.

Directions and parking

Can I park at Seehotel Zarrentin?

Yes! There are 35 parking spaces in the underground car park beneath Seehotel. Some of these have charging stations for electric vehicles (six charging stations with a maximum charging capacity of 22 kW).

The parking fee is €9.50 per day.

How do I get to Seehotel Zarrentin?

From Hamburg, Berlin or Schwerin, drive along the A24 and leave the motorway at the Zarrentin exit.

Can I park and charge my electric vehicle at Seehotel Zarrentin?

Yes, our underground car park has six charging stations with a maximum charging capacity of 22 kW. The parking fee is €9.50 per day.

Stay

Does Zarrentin charge a tourist tax?

Yes, on top of the room price, we levy Zarrentin’s overnight tax, which is 5% of the price of the room. Because this is a percentage tax, it varies according to the room price and discounts. This overnight tax has been in place since 1 January 2024 for all of the hotels, guest houses and holiday accommodation in Zarrentin and its surrounding districts. The tax doesn’t apply to accommodation used for commercial reasons (business travel).

I will be bringing my child/infant. Can Seehotel Zarrentin accommodate us?

Yes! We’ll gladly provide a cot or additional bed for children up to the age of twelve. Select “Extra bed” when you book. And of course, our restaurant has high chairs for our younger guests.

Are pets allowed at Seehotel Zarrentin?

Yes, pets are permitted on request. The surcharge is €20 per night at the hotel. You can only come with a pet on request and subject to availability.

Can I have breakfast at Seehotel Zarrentin?

Yes, we offer our guests an excellent breakfast at our restaurant, Pauls Hofküche. Look forward to delicious tea and coffee, freshly baked produce and a wide selection of cold cuts, along with scrambled eggs and crispy bacon. We can also prepare vegan dishes on request.

The breakfast buffet is open from:
Monday to Friday from 7 to 10.30 a.m.
Saturday and Sunday from 7 to 11 a.m.

Breakfast is included in the room price.

Can I have lunch and dinner at Seehotel Zarrentin ?

Yes, you’re very welcome to visit our restaurant, Pauls Hofküche, where we’ll treat you to select seasonal ingredients.

Our opening hours are:
Monday and Tuesday from 12 noon to 9 p.m. and Thursday to Sunday from 12 noon to 9 p.m. We are closed Wednesdays.

Activities and wellness

What kind of experiences and exercise do you offer? What do you have for someone who wants an active stay?

We’ve got just the right thing for you. You can hire our bicycles. Schaalsee and its surroundings are the ideal place for running and walking. The Gut Grambek golf course is nearby. Other destinations for a day out in the region are on our website under “Places to visit”.

Can I hire a bicycle?

Yes, you’re welcome to hire a bicycle at the hotel. Reserve it at reception. The rental fee is €10 per day.

Is there a sauna at Seehotel Zarrentin?

Yes, our two Finnish saunas (a pleasant 70°C and hot 90°C) are open daily from 3 to 9 p.m. Their use is included in the room price. There are towels and slippers in every hotel room.

We also have two relaxation rooms with comfortable loungers, free water and fresh fruit. There are various essential oils in the sauna area to scent the water you pour on the stones.

Miscellaneous

Can I buy vouchers for the Seehotel?

Yes, you can! You can buy vouchers at our reception for any amount you choose. You can also order vouchers by phone or email. We’ll post them to you once we’ve received your bank transfer. You can redeem vouchers at Pauls Hofküche restaurant and Fischhaus.

What should I do if I leave something behind at Seehotel Zarrentin?

Don’t worry. Give us a call or write us a message about what you’ve left or lost, and we’ll look for it.
